:: Nortek Final Assembly Quality Control Inspection Station ::
Pictured below is our Final Assembly Digital QC Inspection Station. This custom digital imaging system was designed in-house to allow Nortek QC personnel a high quality, up-close look at every customer's finished product. Detailed final assembly inspections are vital to maintaining our high standard of quality and customer satisfaction.
Fast, ultra-sensitive self adjusting CCD imaging devices leave our inspection team members free to concentrate on the most minute workmanship details of both subassemblies and finished product. It is this attention to detail that allows Nortek to offer warranty packages in most cases exceeding the established industry standards.
A laminar flow Class 100 clean environment allows "open air" component operation without the concerns of every day environmental contaminants affecting the outcome of QC testing and inspection. This results in a far more accurate evaluation of subassemblies and finished product.
A large LCD display allows simultaneous collaboration of multiple members of the Nortek QC team for training purposes and final product pass/fail recommendations by intermediate and senior staff members.

LTO Repair Process Final Test
This is Nortek's HP C7377 Ultrium 1 (59P6685) tape drive Final Test/Quality Control Lab. This particular station is based on IBM eServers running Windows Server 2003. This final testing on the drives is designed to mimic a power user environment with multiple backup/restore cycles of typical user data coupled with uncompressible diagnostic files. This test consists of twelve individual one hour burst cycles over a twenty four hour period. Nortek uses multiple backup programs including Computer Associates ArcServ, and Veritas Backup Exec. As with all of Nortek's User based tests, a diagnostic sentry is used to log the drives error rates, which are typically hidden/masked in this type of environment. Just one more piece of diagnostic information Nortek uses to ensure the product you receive from us is as good as new.
