The IBM Ultrium-2 drive is a generation 2 LTO full height tape drive that capitalizes on growth of Storage Area Networks (SANs) and tape automation due to transition from direct attached to network attached storage. The LTO2 cartridge offers 200GB of native storage capacity and up to 400GB compressed capacity. Nortek has developed advanced repair techniques for all configurations of these IBM LTO2 drives including internal, standalone and library loader units with all interface types including SCSI-3, Ultra160 SCSI, Ultra320 SCSI, Low Voltage Differential (LVD), High Voltage Differential (HVD) and Fibre Channel / Fibre Channel-Arbitrated Loop (FC, FC-AL) interfaces.

High volume repair requests are welcome: repeat customer and quantity discounts are available. PCB repair, firmware revisions / upgrades, support and cosmetic repair services for the LTO 2 are available. We have a large inventory of replacement components and have access to global sources for any repair request. We also specialize in mass storage peripheral repair (i.e. library/loader units) and service all models from any manufacturer. Some failures the customer may encounter include the following:
